Overview
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ChangeGuard's website and software (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
The ChangeGuard Service
ChangeGuard includes a self-hosted agent that you deploy in your own environment (for example, inside your Kubernetes cluster). The agent performs change-safety evaluation and canary/guardrail workflows based on your configuration.
Account, Licenses, and Payment
- Accounts: You must provide accurate account information and keep it current.
- Licenses: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service during your subscription term, subject to these Terms.
- Payment: Subscription fees, billing cycles, and renewal terms are described at purchase. Taxes may apply.
Your Responsibilities
- Deploy and operate the agent in your environment and ensure you have rights to the clusters and systems where you install it.
- Configure permissions according to the documentation and your security policies.
- Maintain appropriate backups and change controls for your infrastructure.
- Use the Service in compliance with applicable laws and third-party agreements.
Acceptable Use
You will not misuse the Service. For example, you will not:
- Attempt to disrupt, degrade, or bypass security controls of the Service
- Reverse engineer the Service except as permitted by law
- Use the Service to transmit malware or unlawful content
Support and Updates
We may provide updates, patches, or new versions. Some updates may be required to maintain compatibility or security. Support levels (if any) depend on your plan.
Data and Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle information. Because the agent runs in your environment, you control what it can access and which features are enabled. If you enable cloud-connected features, the agent may transmit limited operational and safety signals to the ChangeGuard control plane.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". Infrastructure changes and production deployments carry risk. You are responsible for reviewing changes and using appropriate safeguards in your environment.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChangeGuard will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms. Upon termination, your license ends.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice (for example, by updating the date above and/or notifying account owners).
